About Us

Our Manifesto. We have been conditioned to function like machines. Every morning, we jolt from our sleep. We perform our morning routines frantically and place our trust in the material accessories that prioritize time-efficiency over quality-time. Throughout this, we may sense a slight unease and perhaps at first, we take refuge in this façade. But deep down we recognize the undeniable truth: we are not machines. PerDiem exists to challenge this prevailing trend of thoughtless living. We serve as a reminder that life isn’t solely about perpetual motion, rushing from one place to another, or incessantly juggling multiple tasks. Even the briefest moments of stillness can foster significant growth. PerDiem emerged from unrelenting distress in a turbulent world. In confronting this reality, we learned how to slowly unfurl shapes and carve them into existence. Our materials, initially formless, gradually take on their distinct identities through repetitive, meticulous sculpting. While our carving primarily revolves around removing material, it’s not about correcting or starting over; it’s focused on enhancing, and refining. With enough pressure and persistence, rough corners become gentle curves, and uneven ridges morph into polished, uniform textures.
This process mirrors the human condition, and encapsulates our capacity to evolve through arduous transformations in the pursuit of self-discovery. To access our innermost, repressed selves, we must embrace the beauty of falling apart and building ourselves back together.
PerDiem is a lifelong companion in this pursuit, and we possess a unique understanding that living an authentic and fulfilling life demands determination and a willingness to take risks.
Our pieces evolve along with the physical bodies they envelope. Ultimately, we aim to help people cultivate their creative consciousness. Like carving our pieces, we hope for PerDiem to shape people into free spirits, ready to explore their artistic expression.

Product Information. Originally developed in France in the 18th century, gold vermeil is a traditional technique of plating sterling silver with gold. We coat all of our gold vermeil pieces with 18 karat gold.
Currently, PerDiem offers only sterling silver as a base metal with 1.5 micron plating. Micron plating is a heavier and durable application different from the more commonly used flash plating.
